Simon at the SAFY Youth Centre

Simon Mulindwa, 19, Kitamanyangamba

“Before I joined SAFY, I was a womanizer and many people knew about it because I could go out with different faces almost every month. When SAFY came to our community I was among the youth who were trained as Peer Educators. In fact I was so touched with what they taught us about sex and the outcomes. From that day I changed my life style. I have some increased degrees of self-esteem, I use condoms and I also make sure I tell my other friends how to stay alive thus gaining some respect.

“I want to go back to school for more fine art studies such that in future I become a web designer.

“My message to fellow youths; going out with girls and boys is not bad but think first before you act cause in life there are some short term gains that lead to long term losses. Thanx”
